Mrs. Frances Ann Mansfield Ory

August 24, 1920 - June 2, 2022

Frances Ann LeBlanc Mansfield Ory, 101 years old, of Pascagoula, Mississippi passed away on June 2,2022 in Mobile, Alabama. Mrs. Ory was born in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on August 24,1920 to Sidney and Lydia LeBlanc. Mrs. Ory spent her first thirty two years in Hattiesburg and worked for the city in the water department. Hattiesburg always held a special place in her heart. She met and married her husband Alton Mansfield in 1952 and moved to Pascagoula where they raised five children. She was a beautiful and gracious lady who conducted herself in a manner in which she believed a southern lady should be. She was a very devout Catholic and loved and served the Lord her whole life. She was a member of O.L.V., Sacred Heart, and St. Joseph’s Catholic Churches. She lived for and loved her family very much. She enjoyed walking every day for many years with her friends at the Pat Wilson Walking and Jogging Park in Pascagoula. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husbands Alton Mansfield and Ernest Ory, daughter Jeanette Hines, son-in-law Jack Oppie, stepchildren Judy Schaefer, Butch Ory and Jimmy Ory, brother Blanchard LeBlanc and sister Dorothy Wrenn. She is survived by her children Al (Patti) Mansfield, Carey (Donna) Mansfield, Ellen (Jesse) May, Joyce (Pat) Grimes, stepchildren Carol McAndrew and Steve Ory. Grandchildren Mark (Liz) Mansfield, Peter (Lisa) Mansfield, Marie-Therese Mansfield, Patrick (Laura) Mansfield, Jessica May (Jesse) Burgett, Lindsey (Hunter) Henley, Ryan May, Connor (Suzy) Mansfield, Colin Mansfield, Michelle (Brooks) Gist, John Oppie and Daniel Oppie. She also leaves behind 20 great grandchildren and one on the way. Visitation will be Tuesday June 7,2022 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Pascagoula. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11:00 in the church sanctuary with Father Lalo Mora officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood cemetery in Pascagoula. Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers Brooks Gist, James Gist, Jesse Burgett, Mark Mansfield, Peter Mansfield and Colin Mansfield. The family would like to say a special thanks to the Little Sisters of the Poor Catholic Home for the wonderful care and compassion for their mother during her years there.
