July 3, 1960 - February 19, 2022
Gordon Edwin Buck, Escatawpa, MS Went running into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at the age of 61 years old in Gulfport, MS; after a long courageous battle from the heart-breaking effects of Sepsis. Gordon was the baby boy of 7 children to the late Harold Thomas Buck Sr. & Myrtle Bell (Purchner) Buck. He attended Harrison Central High and lived most of his life in Harrison and Jackson County, MS. He was a retired commercial operator. Gordon enjoyed cooking for friends and family, cruising in his buggy, muscle & antique cars, fishing all over the Gulf Coast, and riding his motorcycles. He was a free spirit and lived on his own terms. He was a caring person and was always willing to jump in and lend a hand. He had strong views and opinions and would share them with everyone. He never met a stranger. He was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by numerous aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins and all of his friends. Gordon is survived by his best friend and wife, Cynthia (Vaughan) Buck; his son, Evann Spencer Buck; his granddaughter, Eden Gayle Fraser; brother, Ross (Robbie) Buck; sisters, Susan (Bill) Johnson & Rose (Kenneth) Jermyn. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Harold Thomas Buck Jr, Michael J Buck, & Dewey Buck. Our hearts are broken with his passing. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family of Gordon Buck would like to thank the SRHS: MICU staff and Select Specialty Hospital at Memorial for all of their care through this trying time. In honor of Gordon Edwin Buck, if you would like to make donations to help fund & improve treatment options that could reduce future suffering and improve sepsis care and awareness please donate to: Sepsis Alliance; 3180 University Avenue, Suite 235; San Diego, CA 92104
