Mrs. Lois Norene Long Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mrs. Lois Norene Long age 85 formerly of Big Point went to join her heavenly Father on August 15,2020. She was surrounded by her family members in her home at Loxley, Alabama at the time of death. She was born on March 20,1935 in Moss Point, Mississippi. Norene was a homemaker, wife and mother in Big Point, MS and was respected and loved member of the community. She was a past member of Temple Baptist Church, Barton Baptist Church, Lily Orchard Baptist Church and First Baptist Church of Loxley. She loved the outdoors and her passion was fishing and flowers. She was preceded in death by husband of 65 years Billy Ray Long, her parents and Annie Ophelia McGarry (James S.), Neginoth Benton “Red” Tynes, and her brother Billy Wayne Tynes. She is survived by her sons David “Rocky” (Debbie) Long of Silverhill, Alabama, and Terry Lee (Judy) Long of Mobile, Alabama, 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation will be Tuesday August 18,2020from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Holder-Wells Funeral Home 4007 Main Street Moss Point, Mississippi 39563. A graveside service will follow at 12:30 pm in Serene Memorial Gardens 12800 Hwy 613 Moss Point, Mississippi with Rev. Terry Long officiating. Pall bearers will be Brett Long, Adam Long, Greg Vernor,Kris Cone,Steve Tynes and Kenneth Long.
