    Mr. Roger Dale (Tootlum) Dean Sr.

    April 30, 1943 - July 9, 2020

    Mr. Roger Dale (Tootlum) Dean Sr. 77, of Moss Point, MS passed away on July 9,2020 in Pascagoula, MS. He loved his Lord and he attended First Apostolic Church of Escatawpa. He served in the military with pride and dedication. He was a loving and caring man. “I will always remember Tootlam from a young kid and all though his adult life how he loved banana sandwiches and grape Kool-Aid, how he would always thump me on my head to aggravate me and he was always building something. I love and will miss my brother!!! Charlotte> He was preceded in death by his children Roger Dale Dean Jr., and Rochelle Dean Stubs, his parents Evert and Pauline Lucas Dean, his brother Glynn E. Dean,his paternal grandparents Emmitt and Evie Martin Dean, and his maternal grandparents Charles O. Lucas and Telitha Elliott Lucas. He is survived by his loving mate Mary E. Dunn Davis, his children James P. Dean and Kenneth G. Dean, his brothers Billy (Sandy) Dean, Jimmy R. Dean,Mark A. (Denise) Dean, and his sisters Charlotte A.Dean (John) Eckford Jr.,Paula J. Dean Umanzor, and Sheila A. Dean (Jerry) Hinton. He will also be sadly missed by his 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and many other relatives. Visitation will be Sunday July 12,2020 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at the First Apostolic Church of Escatawpa located at 12201 Hwy 613, Moss Point/ Escatawpa MS 39562. The funeral service will begin at 3:00 pm from the church sanctuary with Rev. Rodney Livingston officiating. Burial will follow in Serene Gardens cemetery in Moss Point, MS. Pallbearers will be Brice Walters, Brock Walters, Felix Umanzor,Raphaell Shumock, Tommy Moore, Mark Dean,honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Dean and Justin Dean Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic face mask and social distancing will be required at the church and cemetery.
